Virtual Auction Frequently Asked Questions
What is a virtual auction?
A virtual auction is a live online auction that takes place on the Internet. Bids are placed online while a live auctioneer is calling the bids in real-time. During the virtual auction, you will see a live stream of the auctioneer with video and audio in the same platform where the online bidding will take place. The bidding will continue until the auctioneer deems the property sold, according to the terms and conditions of the auction.
At the start of the virtual auction, the auctioneer will explain the terms and conditions of the auction. From there, the bidding will start with the highest bid achieved up to that point. The auctioneer will clearly ask for the next bid increment and you will hear what the current higher bid is as well.
How do I bid at a virtual auction?
Visit bethroseauction.com and click on the button that states “Start Bidding Here” found on the property page of the auction (listed above). From there, register to bid and follow the prompts. Once registered, you will be able to click the “View Live” button at the start time of the virtual auction. See our virtual auction guide for further step-by-step guidance.
Can I bid before the virtual portion begins?
Yes. The bidding will be open prior to the start of the virtual auction. You may place bids at any time.
How do I register for the virtual auction?
You can register to bid on our website by clicking the “Start Bidding Now” button on the property page or download our Mobile App in your app store by searching Beth Rose Auction. See our virtual auction guide for further step-by-step guidance.
Can I ask questions during the virtual auction?
Currently, there is not a two-way chat feature within our bidding platform. Alternatively, you can text us real-time during the auction at 239-213-8685.
What are the steps after the auction if I am the winning bidder?
If you are the winning bidder, our office will contact you and confirm the name in which you will take title to the property. After that, we will send you purchase agreements to sign electronically. You will also be required to wire or drop off your earnest money deposit within 24 hours of the auction.
